In 2012 dr. Jacco van Uden and myself co-authored a story (consisting of three articles) for Managementsite.nl about the ways managers and entrepreneurs can deploy serious games and gamification in the context of a professional business. Our contribution has been nominated, along with two others, for the prof. dr. Willem Mastenbroek Publication Price 2013. Yay!

Coursera offers, not unlike Khan Academy and Udacity, massive open online coursers (MOOC). I recently successfully completed my first MOOC: Gamification, offered by professor Kevin Werbach and the University of Pennsylvania. I applaud Coursera and the like, and can highly recommend further educating oneself this way.
The latest [N]Gamer is – of course – dedicated to Nintendo’s new home console, the Wii U. The team discusses its features, flaws and potential. I wrote a bunch of previews about upcoming Wii U games, such as ZombiU and Mass Effect 3. I also wrote a review about the suprisingly entertaining Wii game Skylanders Giants.
